Vol 1 & 2 and the new novella look great together. If you’re new to finding out about the series, welcome. The novella is due out this Christmas 2026.

Vol 1. Introduces you to Lady Plummage. Her fascination for Tasmanian faeries after seeing one as a young girl up on Cradle Mountain has led her to travel across the diverse landscapes of Tasmania, collecting faery encounters from witnesses. You’ll find 20 within the book, each encounter have been beautifully illustrated to sit next to each story. You’ll find out about Lady Plummage’s fascination for Edith S Brown, the 1900s Hobart chocolatier and her collection of merchandise from the mysterious Edith.

Vol 2. Builds on Edith’s story. Lady Plummage believes Edith has something to do with the faeries found in Tasmania.We also have another 20 faery encounters with illustrations.

Vol 3. The Bind. Within these pages, Lady Plummage has strung together evidence for an amazing story. Sprinkled throughout, Terry has again weaved his magic to bring it to life.

Waiting

As I wait to see if Lady Plummage needs illustrations for book 3 of Faeries of Tasmania, I’ve been busy working on other projects.

Book 3 of Faeries will need some design work and possibly some black and white linework throughout. I’m unsure where she is taking the 3rd book but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.

Whilst waiting I’m illustrating a kids book (more on this when I have news), writing a screenplay for another project and basically renovating the house I live in down here in Tassie.

I’ve also done some charity artwork, which I’ll post here when it’s released. It was a fun project for a worthwhile cause.

Faeries of Tasmania Vol 2

Vol 2 continues with further evidence of Edith and her company, Fears. After recognising her name from vol 1, readers have come forward with further information about her. One reader has supplied us with a diary from an employee of Frears. Some of the entries can be read in Vol 2.

As per Vol1 Lady Plummage will have another 20 of her favourite faery interviews.

A quick update

It’s been a little while since my last update.

I’ve been pretty busy illustrating volume 2 of Faeries of Tasmania and basically working on my house in Tasmania, which needs some serious garden work done.

Volume 2 has been a joy to do. It follows the same flow as the initial book, but everything is new, even the patterns within the 2 volume are new. Lady Plummage didn’t just want to print the same patterns again as she wanted new discoveries for the reader. Her feeling is, if it’s a new book, everything should be new and have equal quality. And I agree.

Some excited revelations about Edith will be in the volume. I’m looking forward to hearing what readers think about our progress with the discoveries.

Once volume 2 is totally complete, I will be moving on to another book titled, Teaspoon Stealers. It is a lovely story about a woman who owns a tea shop in Tasmania who has some troublesome critters come to cause a little havoc in her shop. But, they have a mission in mind.

I wrote Teaspoon Stealers some time ago and has been on the back burner until the Faeries of Tasmania books were complete. It’s only a short story but a has a lovely tale to tell.

After that, I’ve heard Lady Plummage may have an epub book, which is quite separate from her physical books and may need some black and white sketches. This may change though as it’s not official as yet.

Devonport Regional Gallery have some of the images from book 1 on display. Lady Plummage has also allowed a special image from volume 2, which is due out this Christmas. If you are in Tassie and close to Devonport, why not drop in. Lady Plummage has also allowed all the prints in the exhibition (except Jelly Bean) to be for sale. New books on the horizon

Now the faery exhibition is over, I can now spend more time on illustrating book 2 for the Faeries of Tasmania. Book one has been a success and we hope that book 2 will equally be successful. It’ll have some exciting content with relation to Edith S Brown.

The other book I’m working on is Teaspoon Stealers. The story is written and now it’s time to illustrate. I’m going to be experimenting with styles for this one. It’ll have a much relaxed feel than the full colour illustration I did for the faeries book. It’ll be more dip pen and water colour. I’ll be dabbling with more natural inks – maybe walnut ink.

It’s available from all great bookshops around Tasmania. It may also pop up in various newsagents and other venues around the state.

It’s been a great process working with the gang in Tassie. I hope it does well, as then I can finish book 2 – fingers crossed.

I’ll upload some screen grabs of the process I went through with the illustrations, at a later date. In the emantime you’ll find some screen captures through my instagram.

I’ll be back down in Jan 2023 to meet with Lady Plummage to gather more information with regards to the sightings for book 2, along with a little holiday and some signings.

Faeries of Tasmania

Faeries of Tasmania is an ongoing job with the crew down in Tasmania.

I’ve been told the website for it should be launched next year sometime. It’s been quite a journey so far.

In the meantime, I’m busy working with the team to create the visuals for the online world. There will be sketches, full blown illustrations and some design work.

6th Witch Spell

Released this Halloween, the witch spell will change you into whatever your heart desires.

Again, it uses the spring and slide style that the witch animations are known for.

Next year, I’m hoping for some witchy goodness to go into other areas.
